TraINING pHOTOS AND cOMMENTS

James Young
VP Education and Development

This page is designed to share a bit of the joy we have in presenting our unique approach to teaching ethics. We have had great response to our classes. People like the fact that our approach is practical and easily understood and used. We teach awareness, articulation and application When people leave our semianr, they do not feel they have been leactured or talked down to, but given a proven approach to help them make better ethcial decisions. We are thrilled and honored when people leave our class and make a comment that they want to teach our approach to their children and grandchildren, besides using it in their workplace. Here are some pictures and comments from some of the attendees:

Pictures From "From Fear to Trust" Seminar in Alburquerque, NM. This is a three day course for law enforcement professionals

Brian Beamish is Director of Law Enforcement and Gaming. He has over 20 years in law enforcement and is passionate about teaching ethics. Here is picture of Brian doing his thing.

Some comments from the class:

"Speakers were exemplary." "Excellent!"
"Honestly, I was not thrilled to attend an ethics class. After attending, I am so glad I am so glad I got to participate. Definately a training that is beneficial to daily life and work."
"Excellent instructors, great training, Thank you!"
"Truely fantastic instructors with a concept easy to apply and spread."

This is a picture of a slide from one of the "Ethics-Responsibility and Accountability" Seminars for the Phoenix Municipal Court. Participants are asked to rate their government leaders and their co-workers on a scale of 1-10 (One being least ethical, ten being most ethical).  The yellow represents co-workers and the blue represents government officials. Each person comes to the front of the room and puts their post-its on the chart. You can see the disparity. This leads to a great discussion about ethics and why ethics is important.

 Comments from class:

"Excellant class."
"I learned that ethics is about relationships"
"I hope the court system continues using this training for everyone."

We also asked the class what they will commit to doing after the class. Here are some of their comments:

"Take time to teach/show my children how to be ethical."
"Continue to be the best human being I can be. Speak positiveness into others' lives."
"Learn that every opinion counts (listen) and remember not to judge but keep an open mind.
"Be an expample of ethics, be honest, do what is right and respect for others."
"Be a role model for my children. Shareing respnisbiltiy."
"Teach by example."

TWI works with the Native American community and Indian Gaming. Here are some pictures and comments from those seminars:

Participants love David's teaching style. He loves people and it comes across in the way he relates in the classroom.

Dr. David Braaten is President and CEO of The Williams Institute

Here are some of the comments from those seminars:

"Great presentation!", "Very informative and fun." "Very good class. All new agents need to understand (this information)."
"Great presentation by both presenters. They kept us involved all the way through the class."

This is something that I would like to share. This is a dream that David and I have that will help us fulfill our mission to promote ethics in community. There is a space available in our office building that will make a perfect training room. If you or someone you know would like to sponsor a training room, please let us know. It wouldn't be like putting your name or company on Chase Field, but it could make a statement that you or your company find an ethical approach to life and business important.

The ATGRA has included training from TWI because of our unique approach to ethics and ethical decision making. The picture and comments are from a session conducted in Yuma, AZ.

Here are just a couple of comments from participants:
"Great examples used for discussions." "I would strongly recommend this to upper management. Great training!"
"Great class. All new agents need to understand how to make good decisions."
