Builiding Trust Through Law Enforcement Ethics Training
FBI-LEEDA, in partnership with The Williams Institute for Ethics and Management, is pleased to present a pioneering new ethics training program for law enforcement. This 3-day training, From Fear to Trust: New Ethical Strategies for Law Enforcement, challenges the usual, out-dated, “coffee and donut” programs that are fear-based and rarely address the contemporary issues facing public safety professionals. Instead, this groundbreaking and highly interactive training uses a responsibility-based approach that builds confidence in personal judgment and is immediately applicable.
This training focuses on the skills needed to help leaders build an ethical cultural environment that promotes and empowers people to take personal responsibility for their decisions that effect the organization. At the same time, the program addresses many significant and related issues facing agencies today, including generational issues, recruitment and retention, motivating employees and employee satisfaction.
Participants are given a foundation for greater Awareness, the ability to Articulate solutions and the skill to Apply good ethical principles through a decision making process. In utilizing these simple tools throughout the training, they will better understand and apply four basic ethical perspectives for better communication. They will learn how to work in small teams with differing motivations to reach a well-developed and globally beneficial strategy.
Participants will be able to empower employees, unleashing abilities and solutions that have been reserved due to fear and fear-based policies. This exclusive training provides employees with the tools to evaluate solutions and their impact, take into account stakeholders and who will be affected, while at the same time ensure that they will be able to justify their actions based on ethical grounds. Doing the right thing has never been easier.
