The ECW was introduced in 2005 as the second book in TWI's Awareness Series. This inventory presents a series of questions in a self-scoring format designed to assist individuals in developing techniques for assessing organizational cultures as they relate to personal success. Awareness is the key to corporate and individual success and well being—the key to finding the organizational profile best suited to each individual.

One of the most important concepts to be learned from the completion of the ECW is the direct correlation between the values of an organization and the success of individuals within that organization. A workplace culture supportive of an individual's values can provide an opportunity for that individual to achieve success within the organization, while moral conflict between individual beliefs and the values of an organization can lead to frustration, cynicism and early burnout. This inventory is designed to provide the necessary tools for individuals to find the "best fit" for them.
